Will Tidball

Endurance Coach Specialising in Road, Track and TT

Cycling Career

Will’s most recent years have proved to be incredibly successful and we have no doubt that his own racing palmares will continue to grow, along with the rider’s that he coaches. After strong results as a junior, he was awarded a place with the British team, for whom he still competes. During this time, he has made a strong mark winning the Scratch at the UCI Track World Championships in 2023, British Scratch Title and European medals at both U23 and senior level, most notably taking the U23 European title in the Madison riding with Rhys Britton.

Despite his success on track, Will’s personal aspirations lie firmly with the road, where he has gained a huge amount of experience racing in the Tour De Yorkshire and Tour of Britain. His value in the team was later confirmed as lead out man for Ethan Hayter and Matt Walls at the Baby Giro D’Italia, both of whom went on to win stages.

Will’s versatility and ability to compete and perform, both on the road and track, leave him with a great depth of technical, tactical and physiological knowledge. This will continually evolve and remain on the front foot of current performance strategy, supported by both BlackLine and his own racing.  This is one section of the website we look forward to updating regularly!

Is Will The Right Coach For You?

Will’s training and racing knowledge is extensive, but to be successful as a coach you need more than just knowledge. Passion for the sport and the willingness to invest in others allows the most productive kind of coach-rider relationship. Will’s philosophy is to use his “knowledge of the world of cycling to guide riders and allow them to race and train intelligently, taking away the need to learn alone by making mistakes”. The reason that Will is a part of the BlackLine coaching team is that he has a passion to give back to the sport and work with “individuals to achieve their goals as a part off their team”. This is the very essence of Black Line and we are delighted to have him with us.
