Charlene Du Preez Qualifies in the Olympic Sprint!
Charlene Du Preez had a dream 2 years ago to ride at the Tokyo Paralympics and represent South Africa. Whilst she had already dedicated herself to her quest, there was a huge amount off progress that needed to be made to make this a reality. From a personal best time of 12.3 seconds at the start of working with BlackLine, she has now made her dream a reality by qualifying at the Olympic Games with a new personal best of 10.97!
I can not describe how impressed I am with her single minded dedication to achieve her targets and become and Olympian. So much motivation and grit is needed to have made this happen, with far less support than others might receive who come from a βbigβ track cycling nation.
I am happy that Charlene can remain a proud Olympian for the rest of her life and we would like to wish her all the best for her retirement. Well done Charlene!
